Business Intelligence Engineer

As a Business Intelligence Engineer on AtScale’s Customer Success team, you live to make our customers happy, doing whatever it takes to ensure their success.  You act as a tireless advocate on their behalf – rallying the right folks within AtScale to deliver a delightful customer experience.

Positions are available at our offices in San Mateo and New York City.

The ideal candidate is a power user of at least one BI tool, and has database design experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with customers to model use cases in our product and interact with that model using their BI tool of choice
  • Becoming an expert on the installation, configuration and day-to-day use of the AtScale product
  • Getting customers running and reference-able on AtScale as quickly as possible
  • Rallying subject matter experts across AtScale to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
  • Collaborating with Product and Engineering to channel client feedback and solutions into future releases of the product
  • Advocating for feature requests and bug fixes on behalf of the customer


  • BS or higher in Computer Sciences or related field
  • Power user of one or more BI tools (Tableau, Microstrategy, Qlik, Cognos, Power BI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with database design and data warehousing concepts
  • Knowledge of complex data pipelines and data transformation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous note-taker with excellent follow-through
  • High-energy, proactive, team-oriented, analytical individual who loves speaking with customers

Bonus Points:

  • Hadoop experience
