Senior Technical Enablement Manager


AtScale is re-inventing the way that companies do Business Intelligence on top of Big Data.  As a well-funded and growing start-up we are seeking an experienced and multi-talented Technical Training and Enablement specialist to help lead our product training and technical enablement efforts.  Your job will be to determine what training content and tools are required to make AtScale customers, technical field resources, and partners successful, and then make it happen. You will help define the tools and processes needed to get it done.


The Senior Technical Enablement Manager at AtScale will ensure the flawless delivery of the following items:

  • Technical Training Content: recorded, written, and in-person delivery of product training for customers, technical field resources, and partners.
  • Technical Training Assets: development of a curriculum, environment, sample data, and workshops related to the successful installation, configuration, and utilization of the AtScale solution.

In addition to the direct responsibilities above, the Senior Technical Enablement Manager will also be asked to contribute to company success in other ways:

  • Partner with product management and engineering to help identify and file usability bugs/enhancements
  • Collaborate with marketing as a whitepaper and blog author

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical training experience in enterprise software.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
  • Excellent content planning and organization skills.
  • The ability to quickly learn complex concepts and technologies and clearly explain them to others.
  • Knowledge or experience with video production software, such as Camtasia.
  • Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (and other Big Data systems.
  • Previous experience writing documentation and/or training for Linux system administrator and developer audiences.
  • Proficiency on Linux operating systems using the command-line.
  • A good understanding of programming concepts, preferably with Java and/or Python.
